Why the CV decides most job searches in the UAE
The UAE is one of the few job markets where a single vacancy can pull in applicants from dozens of countries. An accountant role in Business Bay advertised on a Sunday morning can have several hundred applications by Monday afternoon. The recruiter handling it has other vacancies open too. Nobody reads that pile from start to finish.
So the first cut is fast, and software often does it. Large employers here run applicant tracking systems such as Workday, Oracle Taleo and SAP SuccessFactors. The system reads your CV, pulls out job titles, dates and skills, and scores you against the vacancy. A CV built in a two-column design template can come out the other side with the dates attached to the wrong employer. The recruiter then sees a scrambled record and moves on.
The second cut is human, and UAE recruiters look for things that a UK or Australian recruiter would never ask about. Are you inside the country? What visa are you on? How long is your notice period? Do you hold a UAE driving licence? If those answers are missing from the first half of page one, many recruiters won’t call to find out. They have other candidates who already told them.
That is the real reason good people get no replies. We have written a longer piece on what a professional CV for the UAE job market looks like and a practical guide on how to write a CV for UAE jobs if you would like to try it yourself first.
There is a second problem that a better CV alone cannot solve. Many vacancies in the UAE are filled without an advert. A manager asks HR who they have on file, HR searches the inbox, and three people get a call. If your CV is not in that inbox, you were never in the race. This is the gap CV distribution was built to close, and we come back to it further down.
What the best CV writers in Dubai do differently
Anyone can call themselves a CV writer. There is no licence for it. When people search for the best CV writers in Dubai, they find freelancers on classified sites, overseas agencies with a Dubai phone number, template websites, and a small number of companies that do this work full-time from inside the country. The results from each are very different.
After 15 years and more than 35,000 CVs, this is what we believe separates professional CV writers in Dubai from the rest.
They ask before they write.
A writer who only reformats your old CV is a typist. Our writers begin with questions. How many people reported to you? What was the budget? What changed because you were there? Most clients have never been asked. A sales manager tells us he “handled key accounts”, and after ten minutes of questions, that line becomes “managed 14 retail accounts across Dubai and Sharjah worth AED 9 million a year and renewed 13 of them”. The second version gets phone calls.
They write in clean, native-level English.
Our CVs are written by native English speakers. That matters more in Dubai than people expect, because the hiring manager is often British, South African, Indian or Lebanese, and a CV with grammar slips looks careless to all of them. Plain English also reads better to tracking software than long, decorated sentences.
They know what Dubai employers screen for.
Dubai hiring is mostly the private sector. Free zones such as DIFC, DMCC, JAFZA and Dubai Internet City each have their own mix of employers, and each sector has its own vocabulary. A finance CV for DIFC needs IFRS, DFSA and the names of the systems you used. A logistics CV for Jebel Ali needs customs clearance, HS codes and the volumes you handled. Our writers know these terms because they see the job adverts every day.
They build for the software first.
Every CV we deliver is ATS-friendly and comes in both Word and PDF. We use a single column, standard section headings and real text in place of graphics. We keep contact details out of headers and footers, where some systems cannot read them. It looks simple on purpose.

Professional CV writing at We Find Jobs starts with questions about your work, and the template comes later.
You can read more about how our writers work on our CV writing in the Dubai page or see the full CV writing service. We have also set out our own case in why clients call us the best CV writing service in Dubai.
What a UAE CV includes that other countries leave out
- Nationality and current location, on the first lines of page one.
- Visa status: employment visa, visit visa, family sponsorship or Golden Visa.
- Notice period, or the words “available immediately” if that is true.
- A UAE mobile number with the +971 code, if you have one.
- Driving licence, for any role with site visits or client travel.
- Languages, with Arabic listed first if you speak it.
A photo is still common here for customer-facing roles. We advise on it case by case. For most office jobs it is optional, and for applications to multinational firms we usually leave it off.
Best CV writers in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah
Abu Dhabi does not hire the way Dubai does. A large share of the good jobs sit with government bodies, semi-government companies and the energy sector, and their application forms are long. People looking for the best CV writers in Abu Dhabi usually need a CV that can pass a formal screening panel as well as a tracking system.
In practice that changes three things. Qualifications and attested certificates go higher up the page. Project values and contract types are stated in full, because panel members score against them. And the language is more formal than a Dubai sales CV would use. Our professional CV writers in Abu Dhabi work to those rules. A drilling engineer applying to an energy operator and a marketing executive applying to a Dubai start-up should not receive the same layout, and with us they do not.
Private employers with 50 or more staff also have Emiratisation targets to meet. If you are a UAE national, we write your CV so that this is clear at once, and we list your Nafis registration if you have it.
Details for the capital are on our CV writing in Abu Dhabi page. Sharjah has its own character again, with manufacturing, education and the free zones at SAIF and Hamriyah, and we cover that on our CV writing in Sharjah page. For the country as a whole, start at our UAE page.
Because we work across all seven emirates, clients often describe us as the best CV writers in the UAE. We would rather you judged that from the work. Ask us for samples in your field before you pay anything.
How we write your CV, step by step
People are sometimes surprised by how plain our process is. There is no long online form with ninety boxes.
- You send us your current CV or a list of your jobs if you have never had one by email or WhatsApp.
- You tell us the roles you are aiming for and send two or three adverts that interest you.
- A writer reads everything and comes back with questions about results, team size, budgets and tools.
- We write the first draft, normally within one to two working days.
- You read it and ask for changes. Revisions are unlimited on every package.
- We send the final CV in Word and PDF, along with your cover letter and LinkedIn profile text.
Step three is where the value is. A writer who skips it is selling you a format. We have explained the thinking behind it in how we create CVs that win interviews in the UAE.
Senior and board-level CVs
A chief financial officer does not need a list of duties. Boards and search firms want to know the size of the business, what state it was in when you arrived, and what state you left it in. Executive CVs take longer conversations and tighter writing, often three pages, whereas a mid-level CV runs to two. Our approach for directors and above is described in C-level CV writing in Dubai and the UAE.
Fresh graduates and career changers
With no work history, the page has to be filled with something true. We use internships, final-year projects, part-time work and anything with a number in it. Career changers get a different structure, with transferable skills placed above the job history so the recruiter sees the match before they see the old job title.
CV writing packages and prices
We publish our prices. Ask around among the best CV writing companies in Dubai, and you will find that some will not tell you the cost until you have filled in a form and taken a sales call. Ours are below, and they are the same for everyone.
| Package | Who is it for? | Price | Delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Junior level | 0 to 2 years of experience | AED 150 | 1 to 2 days |
| Senior level | 2 to 10 years of experience | AED 200 | 1 to 2 days |
| Executive level | More than 10 years of experience | AED 300 | 1 to 2 days |
Swipe the table sideways to see every column.
Every package includes a cover letter, a LinkedIn profile update, unlimited revisions and an ATS-friendly CV in Word and PDF. There are no add-on charges for any of those. Two larger packages, VIP at AED 400 and Royal at AED 600, combine CV writing with CV distribution, and they are covered in the distribution section below.

All CV writing packages include a cover letter and a LinkedIn profile update.
For comparison, a CV from a UK or Australian writing firm commonly costs several times this, and the writer will not know what a UAE recruiter expects to see about visas or notice periods. A freelancer on a classifieds site may charge less than we do, and too often you get your old CV back in a new font. We think the best CV writing service in Dubai is the one where the price is fair, the writer knows the local market, and you can ask for changes until you are satisfied. More on that in Why We Find Jobs is a sound choice for CV and resume writing and in our overview of the best CV and resume writing services in Dubai and the UAE.
What we put on the CV for each industry
A CV for a site engineer and a CV for a nurse share a layout and very little else. Recruiters in each field search for particular words, and if those words are missing, your CV does not come up. These are the details our professional CV writers in Dubai add for the sectors we write for most.
Construction and engineering
Project name, client, consultant, contract value in AED and your exact role on it. We list Dubai Municipality or Trakhees approvals if you hold them, your Society of Engineers membership, and the software you use, such as AutoCAD, Revit or Primavera P6. A recruiter filling a role on a tower project wants to see that you have worked on a tower.
Banking and finance
Portfolio size, the regulator you reported under, and the systems you know. For accountants we state the number of entities, month-end close time and audit firm. Qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA and CFA go beside your name at the top, because many finance recruiters filter on them first.
Healthcare
Licence status comes before everything else. A DHA licence covers Dubai, DOH covers Abu Dhabi and MOHAP covers the northern emirates. We state which one you hold, whether your DataFlow verification is complete, and your eligibility letter if you are still in process. Without this, a hospital recruiter cannot shortlist you, however strong your clinical record is.
Hospitality and tourism
Hotel brand, number of rooms, outlet covers and guest satisfaction scores. Pre-opening experience is valued highly in the UAE and gets its own line. Languages matter here more than in any other sector.
Information technology
We name the stack. “Experienced in cloud technologies” is too loose; “migrated 40 workloads to AWS using Terraform” is what a technical recruiter can match. Certifications from AWS, Microsoft, Cisco and PMI are listed with their status.
Oil, gas and energy
Onshore or offshore, rotation pattern, operator names and HSE record. NEBOSH and IOSH certificates are shown near the top. Abu Dhabi energy employers screen carefully on these.
Teaching
Curriculum taught, year groups, inspection ratings of your school under KHDA in Dubai or ADEK in Abu Dhabi, and your teaching licence status. Schools recruit on a fixed calendar, so we add your availability date clearly.
Sales and retail
Targets and achievements against them, in AED. Territory, number of accounts, and the brands you sold. A sales CV without numbers is the weakest CV a recruiter sees all day.
What CV distribution is and why we started it
CV distribution means we send your CV by email directly to employers and headhunters in our database. You do not wait for an advert. Your CV arrives in the inbox of the people who hire, with a short covering note, and they keep it on file or call you.
We introduced this service to the UAE more than 15 years ago. Nobody else here offered it then. The idea came from watching how hiring really happened: a manager needed someone by the end of the month, HR looked through the CVs already sitting in the mailbox, and the job was gone before any advert was written. Candidates outside that mailbox had no chance, however good they were.
Other companies have copied the model since. That is fair enough, and it is why you now see several firms described as the best CV distribution companies in Dubai. What they could not copy is the database. Ours has been built up over more than 15 years and is kept current. A list bought last year from a data broker is a very different thing.

CV distribution puts your CV in front of employers before a vacancy is advertised.
Who gets the most from it?
- People on a visit visa with 30 or 60 days to find work. Speed matters, and adverts are slow.
- Candidates overseas who want to test the UAE market before they fly in.
- Anyone made redundant who needs wide coverage quickly.
- Employed professionals who want offers to come to them quietly, without applying in public.
- People in common roles, such as accounts, admin, sales, HR and engineering, where thousands of firms hire the same skills.
It suits very narrow specialisms less well. If only six employers in the country hire your skill, you are better off writing to those six by name, and we will tell you so.
How it compares with job portals and agencies
A job portal shows you adverts, and you compete with everyone else who saw the same advert. A recruitment agency works for the employer and will only call if you fit a brief it is being paid to fill today. Distribution does neither of those. It places your CV on file with a very large number of employers at once so that when a need comes up next week or next quarter, you are already there. Most of our clients use all three routes together, and we think that is sensible. You can browse current openings on our jobs page while your distribution is running.
The full service is described on our CV distribution page, and there is more background in CV writing and CV distribution in Dubai.
CV distribution packages and reach
People comparing the best CV distribution service in the UAE should ask every provider the same four questions. How many companies? In which emirates? How long does it take? Will I get a report? Here are our answers.
| Package | Companies reached | Coverage | Time | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Silver | 65,000 | Dubai and Abu Dhabi | 2 to 3 days | AED 150 |
| Gold | 120,000 | Dubai and Abu Dhabi | 3 to 5 days | AED 200 |
| Diamond | 200,000 | All of the UAE | 7 days | AED 300 |
| VIP | 200,000 | All of the UAE, with CV writing and LinkedIn | 10 days | AED 400 |
| Royal | 700,000 | All six GCC countries, with CV writing and LinkedIn | 2 weeks | AED 600 |
Swipe the table sideways to see every column.
The sending is spread over several days. Email that arrives at a steady pace is far less likely to be treated as spam than one huge burst.
When a distribution finishes, you receive a report. You can see that the work was done and where your CV went. We think any company claiming to be among the best CV distribution companies in the UAE should offer this, and you should be wary of one that will not.

The Diamond and VIP packages reach 200,000 employers across the UAE.
An honest word about guarantees
No CV writing or CV distribution company can promise you a job or an interview, and we do not. Hiring decisions belong to employers. What we can promise is a properly written CV, delivery to the number of companies you paid for, and a report at the end. Please be careful with any firm that guarantees employment, and never pay anyone for a job offer or a visa.
Why the CV should be rewritten before it is sent
Sending a weak CV to 200,000 companies gives you 200,000 weak first impressions. This is why the VIP and Royal packages include the rewrite and why we suggest it to most Silver, Gold and Diamond clients as well. The order matters: write first, distribute second. Our page on the best CV writing and CV distribution in Dubai and the UAE goes through the combined approach.
What to do once your CV has been sent
Distribution is where our part ends and yours begins. Clients who get the most from the best CV distribution service in Dubai tend to do a few simple things in the two weeks after sending.
- Keep your phone on and answer unknown numbers. Most UAE recruiters call first and email second.
- Check your spam folder daily. Replies from company mail servers often land there.
- Have WhatsApp active on the number shown on your CV.
- Know your expected salary in AED per month and whether that figure includes housing and transport.
- Keep a list of who calls, with the company name and date, so you can follow up after a week.
- Update your LinkedIn profile the same day, since recruiters will look.
Protect yourself from fake offers.
When your CV is in wide circulation, you may also hear from people who are not real employers. The rule is short. Under UAE labour law the employer pays recruitment and visa costs, so a real company will never ask you for money for a visa, a medical test or a “processing fee”. A real job offer is issued through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and can be checked. If someone asks you to pay, stop replying.
LinkedIn profiles and why recruiters check them
A recruiter who likes your CV will look you up on LinkedIn before calling. If the profile has no photo, a job title from four years ago and no summary, the call often does not happen. The two documents have to agree.
A LinkedIn profile is also searched in a way a CV is not. Recruiters type “procurement manager Dubai” into LinkedIn Recruiter and work down the list. Your headline, your current title and your skills section decide whether you appear on page one or page thirty. We write the headline around the job you want next, fill the About section with the same evidence that is in your CV, and set your location to the UAE city you are targeting.

A LinkedIn profile update is included with every CV writing package.
The update comes free with every CV writing package. It can be ordered alone as well, through our LinkedIn profile service.
Jobs outside the UAE
A good share of our clients are open to the whole Gulf. Employers in Riyadh and Doha often prefer candidates who already have Gulf experience, and a UAE-based applicant has exactly that. The Royal package sends your CV to 700,000 companies across all six GCC countries.
Each country has its own habits, so we keep a page for each: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. Saudi employers, for example, want to know early whether your iqama is transferable. We adjust the CV header for the country you are applying to.
Which of our services fits your situation?
People arrive at this page from many different searches, so here is the quick version for each.
You are searching for the best CV writing service in Dubai.
Start with a CV writing package matched to your years of experience. If you have applied widely and had no calls, the CV is the first thing to fix, and AED 150 to AED 300 covers it together with the cover letter and LinkedIn text.
You are comparing the best CV writing companies in the UAE.
Compare on four points: years in the country, who writes, what is included, and public reviews. We have set out our answers on this page so you can hold other companies to the same questions.
You want the best CV distribution service in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
Silver and gold cover Dubai and Abu Dhabi only, with 65,000 and 120,000 companies. They suit people who will not relocate to the northern emirates and want results in under a week.
You want the best CV distribution service in the UAE as a whole.
Diamond reaches 200,000 employers in all seven emirates. If your CV also needs rewriting, VIP is the better buy because the writing, LinkedIn and distribution come together for AED 400.
You are weighing up the best CV distribution companies in Dubai and the UAE.
Ask each one when it started, how many companies it reaches and whether you get a report. We began this service in the UAE, we publish our numbers, and the report is part of the package.
How to choose a CV writing company in the UAE
You may decide to use someone else. If so, these checks will protect you whichever company you pick. They apply equally to firms advertising the best CV writing service in the UAE and to those selling distribution.
- Search the company name with the word “reviews”. Look for reviews on independent sites, and read the three-star ones.
- Ask how long they have traded in the UAE. Then ask for something that proves it.
- Ask who writes the CV. Is it a person, and will that person ask you questions?
- Ask for the price in writing before any call. Check what is included and what costs extra.
- Ask how many revisions you get.
- Request a sample in your own industry, with personal details removed.
- For distribution, ask for the number of companies, the emirates covered, the time it takes and whether a report follows.
- Walk away from any promise of a job, a visa or a fixed number of interviews.
We are happy to be measured against that list.
CV mistakes we correct every week
These come up so often that we could write them from memory.
Duties in place of results
“Responsible for managing the warehouse” tells a recruiter what the job was. It says nothing about you.” Cut picking errors from 4% to under 1% in eight months” tells them what you did with it.
An objective statement about what you want
“Seeking a challenging position in a reputable organisation” appears on a very large share of CVs in this region. Recruiters skip it. We replace it with four lines on what you offer: your field, your years, your strongest result and your availability.
No visa or location details
A candidate in Dubai on a cancelled visa with immediate availability is more attractive than most people realise. If the CV does not say so, the advantage is lost.
Design templates that software cannot read
Skill bars, icons, sidebars and text boxes look tidy on screen. A tracking system often reads them as blank space or as jumbled text.
Four pages for six years of work
Two pages is right for most people. Old jobs can be cut to one line each. Nobody hiring a finance manager needs five bullet points about a cashier job from long ago.
One CV for every application
We give you a master CV. You should still change the summary and the first few bullets for each important application, using words from the advert. It takes about ten minutes.
Questions people ask us
Which is the best CV writing company in Dubai?
We Find Jobs is a strong choice if you want a company based in Dubai with a long record. We have worked in the UAE for over 15 years, our CVs are written by native English speakers, and prices start at AED 150 with a cover letter and LinkedIn update included. We have more than 650 public reviews you can check before you decide.
Which is the best CV distribution company in the UAE?
We Find Jobs was the first company to offer CV distribution in the UAE and still runs the longest-standing database. We send CVs to more than 200,000 employers across the UAE and to 700,000 across the GCC on the Royal package. You get a report when the distribution is complete.
How much does professional CV writing cost in Dubai?
With We Find Jobs, CV writing costs AED 150 for junior level, AED 200 for senior level and AED 300 for executive level. Each price covers the CV in Word and PDF, a cover letter, a LinkedIn profile update and unlimited revisions.
How long does it take to get my CV?
The first draft is normally ready in one to two working days. After that, the timing depends on how many changes you ask for and how quickly you reply.
What is CV distribution, and does it work?
CV distribution is the direct emailing of your CV to employers and headhunters, so it is on file before a vacancy is advertised. It works best for common roles where many companies hire the same skills and for people who need wide coverage quickly. It does not guarantee a job, and no honest company will tell you it does.
How many companies will receive my CV?
That depends on the package. Silver reaches 65,000 companies in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, gold reaches 120,000, diamond and VIP reach 200,000 across the UAE, and royal reaches 700,000 across the GCC.
Do you guarantee a job or interviews?
No. Employers make hiring decisions, and we cannot make them on their behalf. We guarantee the work we control: a professionally written CV, unlimited revisions, delivery to the number of companies in your package, and a report.
Are your CVs ATS-friendly?
Yes. Every CV uses a single-column layout, standard headings and real text, so applicant tracking systems can read it correctly. You receive it in Word and PDF because different employers ask for different formats.
Do you have professional CV writers in Abu Dhabi?
Yes. We write for clients in Abu Dhabi every week, including people applying to government, semi-government and energy employers. The work is done by phone, email and WhatsApp, so you do not need to visit an office.
I am outside the UAE. Can I still use your service?
Yes. Many of our clients are in India, Pakistan, the Philippines, the UK, Egypt and elsewhere. We write the CV to UAE standards and state your location and availability clearly so employers know what to expect.
Should I put a photo on a UAE CV?
It is optional. A professional photo is common for hospitality, sales, cabin crew and front-office roles. For most corporate and technical jobs we suggest leaving it off, mainly because some tracking systems handle images badly.
How many pages should my CV be?
Two pages suits most people. Fresh graduates can use one. Senior executives with long careers may need three, but rarely more.
Is a LinkedIn profile included?
Yes. Every CV writing package comes with a LinkedIn profile update at no extra charge, so your profile and your CV say the same thing.
Who are the best CV writers in the UAE for senior roles?
For director and C-level roles, you need a writer who will interview you properly about business results. Our executive package at AED 300 is written for people with more than 10 years of experience, and the conversation with the writer is longer than for a mid-level CV.
Is there a difference between a CV and a resume in the UAE?
In daily use here, the two words mean the same document. Employers in the UAE say ‘CV’ more often. American companies in Dubai may say ‘resume’ and expect a slightly shorter version.
Do I still need a cover letter?
For direct applications and for distribution, yes. A short letter tells the employer what role you want and when you can start. It is included free with every CV writing package.
I have a gap in my employment. How do you handle it?
We state it plainly and briefly. A line such as “career break for family relocation” is better than unexplained missing dates, which recruiters notice straight away. If you studied, freelanced or volunteered in that time, we show it.
Should I order CV writing or CV distribution first?
Writing first. Distribution multiplies whatever CV you send, so it makes sense to send a strong one. The VIP and Royal packages do both in the right order.
Is We Find Jobs a genuine company?
Yes. We Find Jobs has operated in the UAE for over 15 years, has served more than 26,000 customers and has over 650 positive reviews on independent sites. You can call or WhatsApp us on +971 55 429 4595 between 9am and 6pm, Dubai time.
